It is a good idea to always look for something to appreciate. This is a way to keep yourself positively focused. Having something positive to dwell on can direct your thoughts at a moment's notice. When you find yourself falling into negative thought patterns, you can quickly stop that thought and switch your thought somewhere else.

What would happen if you made a habit, at the beginning of each day, of finding something new to appreciate about yourself, your life or your world? Any time during the day you felt yourself being drawn into negative, destructive thinking, you could instantly put your focus on that day's object of appreciation and gratitude.

Genuine, heartfelt gratitude can have a powerful positive influence on every aspect of your life. It can be an effective counterbalance to all of the negativity the world throws your way. At The Wellness Community we encourage folks to control their thoughts which can have a powerful effect on the immune system.

Right now ponder on something for which you can be grateful . Think of something that you appreciate. Tell yourself to dwell on these things often today. If some thoughts of anger, frustration, spite, envy or despair pop into your thoughts during the day, direct your thoughts into your ready-made appreciation and gratitude list.

Change your thoughts and you change your life. It works both ways.

Let us know how this works for you. We always appreciate your feedback.
